After realizing that the YFlyer wouldn't fit in the garage suspended from the ceiling I decided to consider a larger boat. If I was going to have to store the boat I might as well get a larger boat that would be capable of sailing in the sound.
I went to the Center for Wooden Boats on lake Union to see the boats (a Blanchard Jr and a Blanchard Sr) that were listed on their website. Unfortunately none of the boats were still available. The front desk pointed me to a book of boats for sale and I started flipping through the >25' section.
I didn't see anything that looked appealing and as discouragement set in I flipped to the <25' section. To my surprise there was a YFlyer listed on a little scrap of paper. Boat + Trailer + 2 Sets of Sails + spinnaker for $600.
